New Health & Safety Institute Creates Extensive, Centralized Resource for Emergency Care Training

EUGENE, Ore., Feb. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Two emergency care training organizations acquired by a single firm in 2006, are now moving forward with a newly created parent company at the helm -- and aggressive plans for better serving the emergency care training community.

The Riverside Company, which purchased the American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) and Medic First Aid International a little over a year ago, recently created parent company, the Health & Safety Institute (HSI), to better serve the market; increase efficiencies; and offer a broader spectrum of products and services.

"While each company will remain independent and continue serving its respective market, moving forward under HSI is the first step in our strategic plan to serve our customers on a whole new level," says Bill Clendenen, HSI CEO. "Look for many new benefits and innovations in the coming months," he adds.

Both companies provide flexible, cost-effective training and certification programs, recognized throughout the industry for their high quality. And both organizations have grown significantly in the past few years by adding additional programs and services.

While the two companies each serve different markets -- Medic First Aid focusing on business and corporate CPR and first aid training and ASHI serving entrepreneurs, EMS, fire, and other emergency response providers -- each will be able to provide an even higher level of service to current customers, as well as expand its service offering, under the new HSI banner.
