Frontier Airlines Reports Preliminary Traffic for February 2008

DENVER, March 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Frontier Airlines Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:FRNT) today announced preliminary traffic results for Feb. 2008 for both Frontier's mainline operation as well as its wholly owned subsidiary, Lynx Aviation. Lynx Aviation commenced revenue service in December 2007. As such, only the current month, and fiscal year-to-date and calendar year-to-date for the current year are presented in the text and table below.

Mainline Results

Mainline revenue passenger miles increased 18.1 percent to 744,762,000 for Feb. 2008 from the same period last year. Mainline available seat miles increased 7.5 percent to 957,989,000 for Feb. 2008 from the same period last year. This resulted in a mainline load factor for Feb. 2008 of 77.8 percent, an increase of 7.0 points from Feb. 2007, when the airline reported a mainline load factor of 70.8 percent. The airline carried 760,816 mainline passengers during Feb. 2008, a 12.1 percent increase from Feb. 2007. The airline reported mainline passenger yield of 9.95 cents for the month of Feb. 2008, a decrease of .40 cents or 3.9% from Feb. 2007. Its mainline passenger revenue per available seat mile was 7.74 cents, up .41 cents or 5.6 percent from Feb. 2007. For the month of Feb. 2008, the airline's mainline average length of haul increased 5.3 percent to 979 miles as compared to the same period last year.

Lynx Aviation Results

For Feb. 2008, Lynx reported revenue passenger miles of 27,680,000 and available seat miles of 47,549,000. This resulted in a Lynx load factor for Feb. 2008 of 58.2 percent. Lynx carried 62,736 passengers during Feb. 2008, generating passenger yield of 16.96 cents. Lynx passenger revenue per available seat mile was 9.87 cents its average length of haul was 441 miles for Feb. 2008.
