CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 03/07/08 -- Big Rock Brewery Income Trust (TSX: BR.UN) (the "Trust") wishes to announce the appointment of Michael Kohut as an independent Director of Big Rock Brewery Operations Corp. effective March 7, 2008.

Mr. Kohut is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years experience in financial management. He has worked with both public and trust companies and is currently Chief Financial Officer with Trilogy Energy. Prior to joining Trilogy, Mr. Kohut was the President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Global Railway Industries Ltd.
