BancTec Updates Investors on Status of S-1 Filing
DALLAS, March 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, BancTec, Inc. announces the status of its process to register the resale of certain shares of its common stock, par value $0.01 per share, with the Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC"). J. Coley Clark, BancTec chairman and chief executive officer, said: "On March 4th, 2008 we completed the acquisition of DocuData Solutions, L.C., and we are currently working to finalize our year end audit within the next few weeks. Soon after the completion of our audit, we expect to file an amended registration statement with the SEC."
The sale of BancTec's (the "Company") common stock has not been registered under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and such stock may not be offered or sold in the United States absent registration or an applicable exemption from registration requirements.
