Trade and Health Press Registration Opens for 2008 Occupational Therapy Conference & Expo
More than 3,500 Occupational Therapy Practitioners to Converge in Long Beach, CA Press registration is now open for the 88th annual Conference and Expo of the American Occupational Therapy Associatio More than 500 educational sessions will be held throughout the Conference on a wide range of topics including: mental health, older drivers, low vision and aging in place. In addition to all of the sessions, AOTA President Penny Moyers will be making a very special announcement regarding a new public awareness initiative during her annual address on Friday, April 11. If you wish to attend, please email the AOTA Sr. Press Officer Rob Black at rblack@aota.org. Be sure to include your name, media outlet or publication, contact information and the dates you will attend. The AOTA Press Office will issue you a media pass, which can be picked up at the registration tables by last name.
Media attendees should note the following: 1. There will be no AOTA Press Office on site this year. If you need assistance, please call Rob Black at the cell number listed above. 2. AOTA and its governance bodies reserve the right to hold executive sessions during any of their meetings at which there will be no press coverage allowed. 3. While journalists are free to attend conference sessions as they choose, paid attendees get first priority for seats in the more popular sessions. 4. For all plenary sessions in the main halls at Conference, such as the Opening Ceremony, keynote speech and the President's address, journalists must sit in the designated press seating area. Photography will be allowed from the designated press section only, or upon the escort of Rob Black.
