'Gas Pump Prices, New Nukes and Alternative Energy'

"Gas Pump Prices, New Nukes and Alternative Energy" will be presented Wednesday, April 23, by the Foundation for American Communications (FACS), with the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ), Cox Enterprises, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Southern Newspaper Publishers Association (SNPA). The faculty includes two popular FACS faculty members. Robert Kaufmann, Ph.D., Professor in the Center for Energy and Environmental Studies at Boston University, will update the global oil economy and its impact on the price at the pump.
Nuclear energy expert James F. Stubbins, Ph.D., of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, will focus on changes in the nuclear power plants that are proposed. The seminar will conclude with a session on alternative energy with Sam Shelton, Ph.D., Founding Director, Georgia Tech Strategic Energy Institute. The seminar includes breakfast and lunch.
