The Polish-American Awareness Foundation, Inc (PAAF) holds its inaugural event in Chicago, IL
The Polish-American Awareness Foundation, Inc announces its inaugural event "Jan Karski - an Ambassador of Peace and Justice" to be held in Chicago on April the 3rd, 2008. Chicago, Illinois (PRWEB) M The event is to take place at Adler Planetarium in Downtown Chicago. It is designed as the first of a series of live events and publications inspired by Karski's life and mission. Jan Karski is known for his heroic efforts in saving Polish Jews and as the man who brought Allies the message about Nazi atrocities during the World War II. His legacy, as understood by PAAF, is a figure of much needed conversation on the Holocaust and the ways to prevent similar acts in the future. Karski kept this conversation going during his 30 year long professional career at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. So the event is also PAAF's introductory effort to promote Polish history, cross-cultural understanding and an increased awareness of the contributions of Poles to our nation and to the world.
PAAF invites all interested parties to attend the event. It is a great opportunity to network with other guests, learn interesting things and support a worthy cause.
