Aero Design West is one of nine annual educational competitions hosted throughout the United States by SAE International, the world's pre-eminent society for establishing standards for the automotive, aerospace and commercial vehicle industries. The events challenge students to design and build vehicles - airplanes, open-wheel race cards, Baja-style vehicles and snowmobiles - for competitions that require meeting specific engineering challenges.
