The Women's Press Club of Pittsburgh 117th Anniversary Dinner and Journalism Awards
PITTSBURGH, March 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Connie Shultz -- a Pulitzer Prize-winning syndicated columnist for The Plain Dealer and Creators Syndicate -- will be the keynote speaker at The Women's Press Club of Pittsburgh's 117th Anniversary Dinner and Journalism Awards, "Wife Happens," on Saturday, April 12, 2008.
Shultz, who will be accompanied by her husband Senator Sherrod Brown, won the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for Commentary and is the author of "Life Happens - And Other Unavoidable Truths." Her second book, " ... And His Lovely Wife," is a memoir about her husband's race for the U.S. Senate. It was published in 2007. Shultz has won numerous honors, including the Robert F. Kennedy Award for Social Justice Reporting, the National Headliner Award's Best of Show, and Journalism Awards from Harvard and Columbia universities.
