Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, DC Hosts Conference on The Commission on the National Guard and Reserves Report: Where Do We Go From Here?
WASHINGTON, April 1, 2008 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On April 2, 2008, the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, DC is hosting a national conference on The Commission on the National Guard and Reserves Report: Where Do We Go From Here?, featuring two prominent Mainers: former Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen and former Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs Charles L. Cragin. The conference will begin at 8:30 a.m. at 1800 K Street NW, B1 Conference Level.
Secretary Cohen will be giving the keynote address. Assistant Secretary Cragin, a Raymond, Maine resident, will be sitting on a panel titled, Sustaining and Institutionalizing the Operational Reserve. Cragin's panel will include senior ranking military officials including: Dr. David Chu, Under Secretary of Defense, Personnel & Readiness; Lieutenant General Jack Stultz, Chief of the Army Reserve; Ms. Patricia Lewis, Commissioner, Commission on the National Guard and Reserves; and Major General Raymond Rees, Oregon's Adjutant General.
