Part-time MBA Program Receives High Ranking
U.S. News & World Report ranks LMU's part-time M.B.A. program 14th in the nation, up nine spots from last year LOS ANGELES, April 1, 2008 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Loyola Marymount University's part-time M.B.A. program moved up nine places, to No. 14, compared to last year in the 2008 rankings published by U.S. News & World Report magazine's online edition.
"We are very pleased about moving up nine spots and being one of only three part-time M.B.A. programs in Southern California to be ranked this year," said Rachelle Katz, the director of the M.B.A. program. Many of LMU's part-time M.B.A. students work full time and have family obligations. LMU works to accommodate their needs by providing a flexible class schedule. "We feel that our program is attractive to employed students who seek personal attention from dedicated faculty and have great flexibility in selection of courses," said Katz.
Nine of the top 29 programs are Jesuit institutions, including Santa Clara University and Boston College. One unusual feature among Jesuit Universities is that if a part-time MBA student is relocated for work, the student has the ability to complete their degree at another Jesuit university. "LMU's program is unique, in that it offers students who are transferred to another city the opportunity to complete the degree requirements at another Jesuit university," said Katz.
