Statement by Attorney for Melvyn I. Weiss Following Plea Hearing in the Central District of Los Angeles, California

Weiss, today announced that Mr. Weiss has entered a guilty plea and accepted responsibility for his limited participation in a criminal Conspiracy relating to allegations that he and other former Milberg Weiss attorneys agreed to share part of the firm's fees with certain individuals who were Plaintiffs in several of the thousands of Class Action lawsuits filed by the firm during its 40 year history.
According to Brafman, Mr. Weiss deeply regrets his conduct and has formally apologized to all those who have been affected by it.
