Adventure Travel Expedition to Prince William Sound: Alaska's Magnificent Coast
PRESCOTT, Ariz., April 4, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- Twenty years after The Exxon Valdez oil spill, the largest in history, Prince William Sound teems with wildlife, and tourism and the environment have rebounded. Join Naturalist and Prescott College Faculty member Walt Anderson this September as he leads an eight-day, once-in-a-lifetime adventure to this fragile and precious ecosystem, one of the most visually stunning and remote regions of earth. "An Exploration of Life and Landscape" runs September 21 through the 28.
Wildflower meadows, rainforest trails, calving glaciers whales, otters, seals, puffins, and other abundant wildlife ... participants will learn while exploring, with a focus on "Interpreting the Natural World" using photography, writing and being in nature. Seasoned explorers Walt Anderson and Captain Dean Rand of the Discovery will share their unique perspectives as they and the Discovery crew lead the group to a destination list of favorite places.
