Almost 8,000 Women Competed at the Fifth-Annual More Magazine Marathon + Half- Marathon
Hosted by Supermodel, Author and Marathoner Kim Alexis NEW YORK, April 6, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- The fifth-annual More Magazine Marathon + Half- Marathon, the world's first marathon for women over 40, hosted a record-breaking 7,800 women from all walks of life in Central Park today. Everyone from first-time runners to award-winning, elite runners participated in the day-long celebration of the strength of 40+ women. Additionally, marathon participants raised $30,000 for CARE, an organization that empowers women around the world to help end global poverty.
