The World Poker Store Inc. Brings the Bar Poker League to Germany

LAS VEGAS, NV -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 04/07/08 -- The World Poker Store (PINKSHEETS: WPKS), with corporate offices in St. Paul, MN, formally announces the launch of its European division of The Bar Poker League with the signing of a Bar Poker League license agreement in Germany. As the company continues to develop its international poker league Germany has joined China and the United States as official host countries to the league taking part in the world wide growth of the sport of poker. The company is currently in negotiations with several online poker groups to sponsor the league in Germany and is also actively seeking additional licensees and sponsors for multiple countries in Europe. In an effort to standardize poker play throughout Europe and Asia, the Bar Poker League has also partnered with the Federation Internationale De Poker Association (FIDPA), adopting their international poker rules and tournament guidelines for the league's international tournament operations. With tournaments in Germany scheduled to start in May of 2008, the company expects to launch with up to 100 German host venues and continue to expand throughout the year with hopes to grow the league by well over 100,000 members by December.
