CHICAGO, April 7, 2008 /PRNewswire/ --
Who: The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS), the Society of Actuaries
(SOA) and the Professional Risk Managers' International
Association (PRMIA)

What: The sixth annual Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Symposium,
co-sponsored by the CAS, the SOA and PRMIA, will provide business
professionals with new ways to manage and optimize risk to its
fullest potential. Hosted in part by the actuarial profession, the
conference is geared toward chief risk officers, chief financial
officers, risk managers, actuaries, members of boards of
directors, investment professionals and asset-liability management
professionals.

Keynote presenters include chief risk officers from AVIVA, Lincoln
Financial, Freddie Mac and The Hartford, who will provide their
perspectives on enterprise risk management, in addition to leading
experts from Conoco Phillips and Allstate Insurance, who will
discuss emerging risks. Additional general sessions will cover
risk models and corporate directors' views of risk management.

Why: Given the current economic climate and financial institutions'
recent market challenges in mitigating risk, enterprise risk
management has gained recognition as a necessary element to a

attendees with an enterprise-wide perspective on managing risk.
The sessions will cover managing operational risks, subprime
issues, identification practices for emerging risks, risk
disclosures, terrorism risk and pricing risks in financial
services and manufacturing, among others. The luncheon speakers
will include Lord John Eatwell, president of Queens' College,
Cambridge, who will discuss ERM regulatory changes and Dr. William
Freund, chief economist emeritus from the New York Stock Exchange,
who will discuss global economic risks. For more information visit
