Young Oil Corporation Successfully Deepened KL-5

KNOB LICK, Ky., April 7, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- The Young Oil Corporation announced here today that it has successfully deepened the KL-5 well and brought it back on line at a substantially higher production level. The KL-5 is a natural gas well on The Kenneth Lee Lease in Knox County, KY about 4 miles east of Corbin.

Anthony Young, President of Young Oil Corp., said, "This well was initially drilled in February 2006 and looked exceptionally strong but had not performed up to expectations, but with this deepening complete, it appears to be back to near its star status as one of the larger producing gas wells in the area."

Young has successfully completed more than 50 wells in the 6,000 acre lease position in the Young Oil Corp Grey Field with a success rate of about 95% commercial wells.
