Umanis to Implement UBmatrix XBRL Technology for Dexia, One of Europe's Largest Banks

REDWOOD CITY, CA and KIRKLAND, WA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 04/10/08 -- UBmatrix, Inc., the leading provider of XBRL information exchange solutions announced today that its consulting and systems integrator partner in Europe, Umanis, has reached an agreement with Dexia, one of Europe's largest financial institutions, for the implementation of UBmatrix XBRL-based reporting solutions.

Under Basel II, European banks will now be required to report twice annually an average of 12,000 data elements in XBRL to their national central bank, as compared to just 900 data elements under the previous Basel I agreement, following the recommendation of the Committee of European Banking Supervisors (CEBS). CEBS, which gives advice to the European Commission on banking policy issues and promotes cooperation across the European Union, has recommended the use of XBRL as the Financial and Prudential reporting standard for all European Banks.

Umanis will be implementing UBmatrix XBRL technologies for Dexia Bank, so that Dexia can electronically report its Common Reporting (CoRep) for its retail banks in France, Belgium, and Luxembourg to European Central Banks. Umanis will be deploying an XBRL integrated solution (FINRISK) that will allow Dexia to efficiently and accurately comply with the COREP and FINREP reporting XBRL requirements. Umanis' FINRISK solution is based on the UBmatrix Report Builder and UBmatrix xBreeze Web-based services, creating a seamless solution that allows submitting banks to ensure their reports are 100% accurate, 100% compliant and error free.
