Titan Worldwide Partners with Chicago Transit Authority to Launch Digital Advertising Network

Largest Privately Held Out-of-Home Company Expands Chicagoland Contract

NEW YORK, April 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Titan Worldwide, the world's largest privately held Out-of-Home advertising company, has won the contract to sell digital advertising for the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA).

The 10-year contract takes effect immediately. The CTA is the second largest public transit system in the United States, offering bus and rapid transit routes through the city, as well as to adjacent suburban neighborhoods. The CTA operates 24 hours every day serving 1.6 million passengers each weekday on its system of 2,000 buses, 1,190 rapid transit cars and 144 train stations.

"Digital signage is something that will transform not only the transit industry but the advertising industry as well. It's something we've been working hard on for two years," said Donald Allman, president and CEO, Titan Worldwide. "We've had success in the U.K. where we pioneered digital with our Transvision product and in Canada as well. We are bringing that market-leading innovation to the U.S. To support that effort, last August, we added digital out-of-home visionary, Lou Giacalone, Jr., to lead our team and we are ready to deliver a product that will change the way advertising is sold in Chicago. This new contract will bring significant incremental revenue to the CTA over the next 10 years and is a perfect example of a public/private partnership."

"This agreement is a win-win for the CTA," said CTA President Ron Huberman. "By introducing digital advertising, the CTA will earn a significant amount of revenue. It will also have the very valuable added benefit of providing a fast way to communicate information to our customers, especially during emergencies."

Titan Worldwide currently sells the full array of CTA bus and rapid rail media.
