Construction Commencing at Gilbert Hospital's New Intensive Care Unit

GILBERT, Ariz., April 22 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Gilbert Hospital is expanding their services again. Construction is set to begin this week on a three-bed intensive care unit located at the north end of the existing building. The new ICU is in the area previously occupied by hospital inpatient beds. Those inpatient beds were relocated this past December upon the opening of a new 8,500 square foot inpatient expansion.

The ICU construction is expected to be complete before the end of spring. "The general public probably won't see anything related to the ICU construction until it's complete as we are committed to ensuring there is no disruption in our current service to patients," claimed David S. Additional qualified staff and superior equipment needed to create a fully functional ICU are being added as construction continues. In its continuing growth, Gilbert Hospital is also preparing to break ground on the much anticipated inpatient tower with 84 beds and 150,000 square feet of additional space. This ground breaking is expected before the end of spring.
