Port of Montreal President & CEO Elected on the Executive Committee of International Association of Ports and Harbours

MONTREAL, April 23/PRNewswire/ -- Mr. Patrice M. Pelletier, President and Chief Executive Officer of
the Montreal Port Authority was elected on the Executive Committee of the
International Association of Ports and Harbours (IAPH) at its 5th Mid-Term
Board Meeting, held recently in Dunkirk, France. The IAPH headquarters
in Tokyo, Japan, is an association of 217 Regular Members and 140 Associates
Members in 88 countries. Its main objectives are:

- to develop and foster good relations and collaboration among all ports
and harbours of the world;

- to promote and increase the efficiency of ports and harbours by
exchanging information relating to new techniques of technologies in
port development, organization, administration and management;

- to facilitate the formulation of common viewpoints, policies or plans
on questions of common interest;

- to initiate measures designed to protect legitimate interests and
rights of association members within intergovernmental and other
international organizations in order to improve the
conditions and efficiency of ports on a worldwide basis.

Mr. Pelletier has been one of two Canadian Directors of the IAPH
since November 2007.
