Luminary Micro and MaxMega Electronics Offer ARM(R) Cortex(TM)-M3 Technical Seminar May 12th in Malaysia

AUSTIN, Texas, and SINGAPORE, April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Luminary Micro (http://www.luminarymicro.com/), creators of the award-winning Stellaris(R) family of ARM Cortex-M3-based microcontrollers (MCUs), today announced that it will co-host a free seminar in Malaysia with MaxMega Electronics, Luminary Micro's distribution partner in South East Asia. At the May 12 seminar, held in Kuala Lumpur, developers will gain in-depth technical knowledge about Luminary Micro's Stellaris ARM Cortex-M3-based microcontrollers, see demonstrations of the tools available for Stellaris microcontrollers, and learn about real-world Stellaris-based applications. Each registered company will receive a free Luminary Micro Evaluation Kit with an evaluation version of software development tools.

"This seminar reinforces our ongoing effort to provide developers with high quality and cost-effective microcontroller solutions as well as the tools to bring their designs to market faster," said Nelson Chuang, President of MaxMega Electronics. "It will further build Luminary Micro's presence in the high-growth industrial, security and motor control market segment in Malaysia."

Luminary Micro's Stellaris family of microcontrollers currently contains over 130 feature-rich MCUs, supported by low-cost evaluation kits and full reference design kits, all available through MaxMega Electronics. Stellaris mixed-signal microcontrollers contain specialized capabilities for applications in the energy, security, and connectivity markets. The Stellaris line of MCUs is targeted at embedded and industrial applications, such as building and home automation; factory automation and control; industrial control power devices; stepper motors; brushed and brushless DC motors; and AC induction motors.

"We are delighted to have the opportunity to introduce Stellaris microcontrollers to this rapidly growing market," said Aaron Grassian, Director of Asia Pacific Sales, Luminary Micro. "This seminar will give companies the chance to learn about the future standard for 32-bit embedded designs and provide them with an easier and more cost-effective path to success."
