Charity Auction at www.ebay.com/celebritymoms Runs April 29th - May 9th Featuring Items from Mariska Hargitay, Julianne Moore, Matt and Luciana Damon, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Tori Spelling and others A

SKILLMAN, N.J., April 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- JOHNSON'S(R), renowned for its expertise in understanding baby skincare and its commitment to the healthy development and well-being of babies, children and their parents, today announced the launch of its first ever Celebrity Hand Me Down charity auction, featuring items donated by top celebrities. The charity auction on eBay.com will raise money for JOHNSON'S(R) new global charity initiative, http://www.babycause.com/, which is powered by GlobalGiving, the leading peer- to-peer philanthropy organization that connects people around the world to the causes they care most about.

Timed around Mother's Day, the charity auction will run on http://www.ebay.com/celebritymoms from 7 p.m. PT, Tuesday, April 29th through 7 p.m. PT, Friday, May 9th. Consumers can bid to own memorabilia including baby clothing from Mariska Hargitay and Tori Spelling, a diaper bag donated by Matt and Luciana Damon, a high chair from Julianne Moore, and a stroller from Elisabeth Hasselbeck, among other marquee items.

"Our baby cause initiative is inspired by our responsibility to the mothers and babies and the communities in which they live and work," said Bridgette Heller, Global President, JOHNSON'S(R) Baby. "We are committed to making life-changing, long-term differences in children's lives though our educational programs for mothers, our quality products, and charitable programs like the Celebrity Hand Me Down charity auction."

Through JOHNSON'S(R) partnership with GlobalGiving, all proceeds from the charity auction will go to benefit worthy causes helping to make a difference in the lives of infants and toddlers today. Participating charities were handpicked by JOHNSON'S(R) philanthropic committee and include organizations such as March of Dimes(R), Save the Children, ZERO TO THREE and Baby Buggy(TM), among other global programs. Additionally, consumers who visit the JOHNSON'S(R) Baby Cause website are able to donate to the region and customized giving project that best appeals to their interests.

The program is made unique by its ability to track the impact of generosity and the effect each donation has on the individual project. For example, a consumer can choose a project such as the March of Dimes(R) "Education for 5000+ Families of Premature Babies" and donate to directly support families with infants in the neonatal intensive care unit. A donation of $10 provides materials and support to one family, while $50 will support five families by offering information and education to parents experiencing difficulties at the beginning of their baby's life. Consumers also have the ability to choose their own donation amount, outside of the defined sponsorship levels.

"GlobalGiving is based on the assumption that good things happen-locally and globally-when people are connected to one another," said Mari Kuraishi, President, GlobalGiving Foundation. "We are thrilled to be working with JOHNSON'S(R) babycause.com initiative because it takes an incredibly powerful personal connection between parents and babies and radiates it out to peer-to-peer giving, which goes to support real improvements in the lives of children and others most in need around the world."

The charity auction is being managed on eBay.com by Auction Cause, a premier online auction management agency specializing in high-profile design, strategy, and cause marketing for corporations and nonprofits worldwide. For more information, please visit http://www.auctioncause.com/.
