OneRepublic Forced to Cancel Tour Dates
Lead Singer Ryan Tedder Undergoes Achilles Surgery LOS ANGELES, May 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Ryan Tedder, the lead singer of rock band OneRepublic, suffered a serious tear to his Achilles tendon last week that required immediate surgery. The injury happened right before the band was to play Central Michigan University on their current college tour. Ryan is resting comfortably after the surgery and is expected to be back on his feet in a few weeks. In the meantime, scheduled dates on the tour through May 8th have been canceled or postponed. Ryan and OneRepublic are expected to return in time for the band's trip to London in the middle of May.
"I want to apologize to all of our fans holding tickets to the cancelled shows," said Tedder. "We hope to reschedule shows in these areas as soon as possible.
