CAW members vote on Ford agreement Saturday and Sunday
TORONTO, May 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Ford workers in Oakville, Windsor, Bramalea, and St. Thomas will vote on the tentative agreement between the company and the CAW.
The agreement was unanimously endorsed by the master bargaining committee and overwhelmingly supported by more than 200 local leaders who gathered in Toronto on Friday. RATIFICATON SCHEDULE:
Saturday: Bramalea Parts Depot Local 584 Local 1285 Hall 11 a.m. Bramalea Office Unit Local 1324 Central Public School 12 p.m. Sunday: Oakville Assembly Plant Local 707 Hamilton Place Grand Hall 10 a.m. Windsor Office unit Local 240 Local 240 Hall 10 a.m. St. Thomas Assembly Plant London Centennial Hall 2 p.m. Windsor Engine Plant & Annex Giovanni Caboto Club 6 p.m. The results of all votes will be tallied and sent out by Sunday, May 4 at 10 p.m. The CAW will be meeting with General Motors on Monday and Chrysler on Tuesday with the intention of adapting the pattern agreement achieved at Ford to each company.
