The nation's favourite cheeky charmer Denise Van Outen is
exposing her hidden dirt to celebrate the launch of New Daz Liquitabs,
specially designed to remove the hidden dirt you can't see.
According to a new report by Daz, Denise is not alone -results show that we are a nation full of dark secrets, with 70% of women
admitting they have a skeleton in their closet. What's more, up to 60% have a
secret that they have never told anyone, not even their partner or their best
friend:
"Everyone in the UK has hidden dirt," says Denise, "and I'm
definitely one of them! I love chatting and gossiping to my friends, but I'd
never spill a secret I've sworn I would keep."
Fortunately we are not all whiter than white - secrets are the
social currency that help bring people closer together. More than 80% of
women dish the dirt about their friends, colleagues or favourite celebrities
every day, with 78% agreeing that they have bonded with their friends over
shared secrets.
"My hidden dirt is that I had a massive crush on Des
O'Connor," admits Denise. "He was my television idol, and the sole reason
that I decided to become a TV presenter!"
When it comes to dishing the dirt, celebrity secrets are a
favourite among British men and women (37%), with 12% of women actually
admitting to being addicted to celeb gossip.
"There is nothing wrong with a bit of harmless celebrity
gossip", Denise adds. "I read all the newspaper scandals but you have to take
most of it with a pinch of salt. I'd rather chat to my friends about our own
lives. Sharing secrets with them is never boring!"
The I'd Do Anything judge has been secretly 'appearing' on the
new Daz Liquitabs TV ad as a mystery voice, with viewers guessing her
identity for a massive GBP10,000 cash prize.
