In his new role, Rogan will build upon a foundation established over the past several years by a seasoned management team led by Yoshizawa as president of Xilinx, K.K. "Under Sam's leadership, the Japan team will continue to play a pivotal role in Xilinx' successful market diversification strategy, particularly in digital consumer markets," said Moshe Gavrielov, Xilinx president and CEO. "We're grateful for the contributions made by Yoshizawa-san over the past four years and confident that Sam is the right person to lead Xilinx K.K. through its next stage of growth, delivering solutions that contribute to the expansion of our customers' global business."

"It's an honor to take the mantle from Yoshizawa-san," added Rogan, newly-appointed Xilinx K.K. president. "As the world's leading supplier of programmable solutions, our top priority is to deliver solutions tailored to customer requirements and matched to the market. In Japan, the inherent benefits of programmability are ideally suited to help our customers meet the challenge of getting to market faster with highly-differentiated products with increasingly shorter life cycles."
