Morgan Creek Discovers 'That Face' From '24' Creator Joel Surnow
LOS ANGELES, May 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Morgan Creek Productions has purchased Emmy award-winning writer/producer Joel Surnow's project That Face, it was announced today by Morgan Creek Productions Chairman and CEO James G. Robinson.
The film tells the story of a young man from a small town who lands a job in the mailroom of a major NYC cosmetics firm, only to be fired the first day for giving the owner and his son an honest opinion about the company's new marketing face. He finds a way back into the company when he uses his cell phone to snap a photo of a beautiful girl on the subway, and she becomes a candidate for the dream job. That Face was written by Melanie Graham and will be produced by Morgan Creek's James G. Robinson along with Joel Surnow, David Robinson and Jonathan Koch. Colleen Surnow will executive produce. Universal Pictures will distribute the film domestically with Morgan Creek International and Universal Pictures International distributing in foreign territories.
About Joel Surnow Emmy Award winner Joel Surnow is best known for being the co-creator/executive producer of the world-wide smash hit series "24."
