Luxique Profits to Go to China Earthquake Relief

NEW YORK, May 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The boutique and luxury hotel booking site, Luxique (http://www.luxique.com/), is to mirror its support for the cyclone victims in Burma (Myanmar) with a similar effort for those affected by the devastating earthquake in China.

Luxique is donating ten per cent of its profits throughout May for Burma and will now do the same for China.

Luxique's Chief Executive, Alex Brey, said: "It seems incredible that two such major disasters should strike within such a short time. As a worldwide travel company, we felt we couldn't just stand back -- we needed to match sympathy with funds."

Clients who now book high-end luxury hotels through the site will be contributing directly to disaster relief and will also be asked for extra donations.

"We have many Chinese clients and deal with a number of Chinese hotels and our hearts go out to all those who have suffered."
