Aleris International, Inc. Announces Senior Vice President and General Manager for Its Rolled Products North America Business

BEACHWOOD, Ohio, May 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Aleris International, Inc. announced today that K. Alan Dick has been named Senior Vice President & General Manager Rolled Products North America for Aleris International Inc., succeeding John Wasz who has taken on the role of Special Advisor to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Steven J. Demetriou.

Mr. Dick is a veteran of the aluminum industry with over twenty three years of experience. Most recently, Alan served as Senior Vice President Manufacturing, Rolled Products North America and prior to that he led Aleris's global metals procurement team. Alan joined Commonwealth Industries, a predecessor company of Aleris, in October 1998 as the Director, Metal Purchasing. Prior to joining Commonwealth Industries Alan was Corporate Vice President, Pacific Region with Ideal Metals. The early portion of Alan's career was spent in a variety of commercial roles with Pechiney Canada.
