Alpharetta-based Solv Corporation Celebrates One Year Anniversary in Manila ALPHARETTA, Ga., May 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Alpharetta-based Solv Corporation recently celebrated the first anniversary of the opening of its Global Software Development Center in Manila. The facility opened in 2007 with two American managers and six software developers. They now employ fifteen Microsoft Certified developers, and recently earned the title of Microsoft Certified Partner.
This Development Center is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Solv, and is managed there by an American Team. Over the last fifteen years, Solv has offered clients an option for software development by using an offshore partner. But, it was apparent that many companies in the United States were becoming frustrated with language barriers, cultural issues and the lack of stability within offshore project teams. Since English is the official language for business and education in the Philippines, opening an office in Manila was the perfect solution. Solv's Manila Team capitalized on the lack of language and cultural barriers and added a no-nonsense American management team into the recipe.
