Olsons Finalize Divorce Paperwork, End Five Years of Marriage

PHOENIX, May 29 /PRNewswire/ -- An agreement was reached Wednesday evening between Christine and Lute Olson to file the remaining paperwork finalizing their divorce and ending their five-year marriage.

For the past several months the Olsons have each found themselves in the spotlight of public criticism over their public divorce. Christine has conveyed on multiple occasions her disappointment and sorrow with the divorce.

"I'm very saddened to find myself at the ending of a chapter of my life," said Olson. "I still care deeply for Lute and am at a loss to explain the path that brought us here."

Christine plans to continue the community work she has labored on over the past several years. She has two sons at the University of Arizona and a son who will be a senior at St. Gregory College Preparatory School.

"I have found Tucson to be a warm and welcoming community," said Christine Olson. "My children and I have grown to love it here. I am proud of the role I played as a member of the U of A basketball family and will continue to be an ardent courtside fan of the Wildcats."

Media inquiries may be directed to Mrs. Olson's spokesperson Gordon James at (602) 274-1988 or (602) 690-7551.
