DETAILS: SEPTA General Manager Joe Casey will formally dedicate the new $18.5 million, 4.5-story, 522-space parking garage at Norristown Transportation Center (NTC) on Wednesday, June 4.

Located at Dekalb & Lafayette Streets, this ADA-accessible, state-of-the-art parking garage provides additional access for passengers using NTC and increases parking capacity by almost 40 percent making it even easier for customers to use SEPTA's public transit as part of their daily commute. The new garage also provides convenient entry and exit points and offers a method of payment which allows commuters to park and pay by the day or purchase re-loadable payment cards at a reduced cost per use by frequent visitors.

The Norristown Transportation Center parking garage project is part of SEPTA's comprehensive capital investment program to build and enhance customer amenities at its regional rail and transit facilities throughout the region.

SEPTA service from the Norristown Transportation Center includes eight bus routes, the Route 100 Norristown High Speed Line and the R6 Norristown Regional Rail Line. These routes make it possible for passengers to access centers of employment, shopping and schools located in Montgomery County and the surrounding area.

Invited to attend the event with GM Casey is SEPTA Board member Tom Ellis and Montgomery County Commissioner James Matthews along with a host of other dignitaries. SEPTA will also provide refreshments at the terminal for passengers.
