Teleconference Service Available for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers June 5 Public Meeting on Revising Principles and Guidelines

WASHINGTON, June 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Teleconference service will be available Thursday for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) June 5 public meeting to solicit public and organization suggestions on revising the Principles and Standards of the "Economic and Environmental Principles and Guidelines for Water and Related Land Resources Implementation Studies," dated March 10, 1983.

USACE announced the public meeting in a press release on May 12. The release is available at http://www.hq.usace.army.mil/cepa/releases/WaterLandPublicMeeting12May.html.

Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works, John Paul Woodley, Jr., will host the meeting in the Washington Court Hotel's Atrium Ballroom; 525 New Jersey Avenue, NW; Washington, D.C., from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Media and the interested public who cannot attend the meeting in person may listen to the proceedings by calling the toll free telephone number, 800-762-4905, and providing the operator with either the pass code 926449 or asking for the Principles and Standards meeting. The maximum capacity of the teleconference at any one time is 50 participants.

The on-site meeting facilitator may exercise discretion in inviting telephone listeners to offer suggestions for revisions if time permits after all attendees at the hotel have made their statements. USACE is unable to assure teleconference participants that time will be available to take their statements by phone.

Written suggestions by mail, fax, or email are preferred and will be accepted from now through the end of the public meeting at 5:00 p.m., June 5. Written suggestions should be submitted to:
